Holland Festival – HF Lab
This year, the Holland Festival launches a new education program line: HF Lab. Every June, the Holland Festival presents a bold and innovative program, addressing pressing and contemporary themes. The festival operates from its mission to bring performing arts by both well-known and lesser-known artists from around the world to the Netherlands and make them accessible to a wide audience. It uses the power of the performing arts to offer visitors different perspectives on important current issues. The festival connects international and local perspectives, involves diverse makers and communities, and serves as both an accelerator and a meeting place.
With HF Lab, the Holland Festival aims to develop a strong education program line as a permanent part of the festival, for and by young people. Students from various secondary schools participate in a tailor-made, intensive workshop program leading up to the festival, and ten young participants will become junior program makers, collaborating with the Holland Festival to shape the education program. In addition, vocational (MBO) students will join as the HF Lab Production Team, producing the entire program as well as videos, podcasts, and other content related to the education program line.
