The ELJA Foundation adheres to the laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal data, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal Data Processed by the ELJA Foundation

The ELJA Foundation processes your data when you visit our website, develop a project proposal with us, collaborate with us, make an application, or subscribe to a newsletter.

We request the following personal data when you develop a project proposal with us or apply for financial support for a project:

  • First and last name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Internet browser and device type

We request the following data from the organization:

  • Name and address
  • Contact person’s personal details
  • Extract from the Chamber of Commerce
  • Statutes
  • Annual financial report
  • Organization’s bank account number
  • Account holder name
  • Project plan and project budget
  • Organization’s budget for the current year

 

The ELJA Foundation also processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data:

  • Data of individuals under the age of sixteen

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data from visitors to the website under the age of sixteen. Unless they have their parents’ or guardians’ consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than sixteen. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent the collection of data about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without permission, please contact us at contact@eljafoundation.nl, and we will remove this information.

 

Basis for Processing Personal Data

The ELJA Foundation processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Scheduling project meetings
  • Handling payments
  • Sending newsletters and/or invitations
  • Contacting you by telephone or email when necessary to perform our operations
  • Informing you about changes to our processes
  • Providing you the option to create an account
  • The ELJA Foundation analyzes your behavior on the website to improve it and tailor its content to your preferences
  • The ELJA Foundation also processes personal data when legally required to do so, such as data we require for our tax returns

The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal grounds:

  • Your consent or that of your parent, guardian, or legal representative
  • Complying with a legal order
  • Fulfilling the ELJA Foundation’s legal obligations

 

Technical and Organizational Measures

We take technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. We regularly organize training for our employees and have standard work processes to ensure your personal data is carefully managed. Furthermore, we have implemented standard measures in our systems, applied multiple layers of authentication, and installed antivirus, firewall, and malware software on our operating systems. We also ask our processors to take appropriate technical and organizational measures.

 

The length of time the ELJA Foundation retains your usage data

The ELJA Foundation retains your personal data used for sending newsletters or other information until you withdraw your consent.

The ELJA Foundation retains personal data received in connection with collaboration and/or applications, in accordance with the GDPR, no longer than is strictly necessary.

 

Sharing personal data with third parties

The ELJA Foundation only provides personal data to third parties when necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.
