Holland Festival- HF Lab

After a successful pilot in 2024, the Holland Festival will implement the new education program line HF Lab as a permanent part of the festival in 2025 and 2026.

Engaging a large and diverse audience starts with young people. Through HF Lab, secondary school students from different neighborhoods participate in a workshop program and work toward a presentation at the festival. A selected group of these young participants will then become junior program makers, collaborating with the Holland Festival to shape this education program.
In addition, vocational (MBO) students will participate as the HF Lab Production Team, producing not only the entire program but also videos, podcasts, and other content about the education program line.

In this way, young people get to know the performing arts and the Holland Festival, engage in discussions about current themes, learn to translate these themes into art, and gain hands-on experience in programming and production.
