Arcadia Jong

In 2025, Arcadia will present “Arcadia Young”, a cultural program aimed at all young people in Friesland, as part of the major 100-day cultural triennial Arcadia 2025. Arcadia Young introduces the new generation to the artist’s mindset and uses language, imagination, making, and creativity to develop skills essential for the future.

Within Arcadia Young, young participants collaborate through school on a wide variety of Arcadia projects. Part of Arcadia Young can be experienced in Bouwurk, a colorful clubhouse created by and for the community, which will be built in the heart of Leeuwarden in 2025. Additionally, there will be mobile maker spaces, language festivals, and other educational projects across the province. This gives the youngest generation a prominent platform to show all of Friesland what they see, think, want, and feel.
