ELJA Young
Meet the youth council of the ELJA Foundation: ELJA Young! At a foundation that initiates, co-creates, and supports projects for children and young people, a youth council is, of course, essential.
ELJA Young currently consists of 14 young members aged 12 to 18. They come from all over the Netherlands, from Groningen to Cadier en Keer and from Hilversum to Amsterdam. ELJA Young brings a fresh perspective and actively participates in discussions with the ELJA Foundation about projects and campaigns, including the Founder Projects. In 2025, they will organize their own event for young people and, for the first time, present the ELJA Young at Art Award!

ELJA Young is looking for you!
Are you between 12 and 18 years old and interested in sharing your ideas with other young people about exciting programs in music, dance, and visual arts? Then sign up for ELJA Young, the youth council of the ELJA Foundation. As a new fund that organizes and supports arts projects for children and young people, we want to hear what matters to you!
What does ELJA Young offer you?
By joining ELJA Young, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and discuss major arts projects. Together, we can help ensure that future concerts, performances, festivals, exhibitions, and art events truly meet the needs of young people. You will also be welcome at events organized by the ELJA Foundation, receive a voucher and a CJP card (www.cjp.nl), and be invited to performances, concerts, and exhibitions. Of course, we will cover your travel expenses (and those of an accompanying adult, if needed).
What do we expect from you?
We meet four to six times a year at a central location in the Netherlands. During these meetings, we discuss your ideas on music, dance, and visual arts, participate in workshops, have conversations about topics you find interesting, and much more.
